Our lab in collaboration with Tohoku University proposed a new type of stochastic magnetic tunnel junction (s-MTJ) with double free layers without the use of any reference layers.
Such s-MTJs are easier to fabricate starting from the existing MTJs and may lead to massively scaled realizations of MTJ-based probabilistic computers.
