Christian Pratt joins OPUS as a postdoctoral researcher
We are pleased to welcome Christian Pratt, Ph.D., to UCSB as a postdoctoral researcher!
We are delighted to welcome Christian Pratt, Ph.D., to UCSB. Christian completed his Ph.D. at the Complexity Sciences Center at UC Davis under the guidance of Prof. James P. Crutchfield. His research explores the fundamental physics of computing through dynamical systems theory, stochastic thermodynamics, and superconducting circuit theory. In particular, he studies how Josephson junction-based superconducting devices can be used as a platform for energy-efficient computation. His recent work includes advances in deriving Langevin equations of motion for superconducting devices and extending Landauer erasure ideas to higher-dimensional settings. We are very happy to have Christian join our community and look forward to his contributions.
